Windows 10 will have a 'sandbox' mode to test executables in an isolated and secure environment
Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise will soon receive a new feature quite useful for companies and power users. This is Windows Sandbox, a new lightweight desktop environment created especially to run applications in isolation.
The main purpose of this, as explained by Microsoft, is to offer greater security in certain situations, such as when we download an .exe file and we are afraid to execute it, or when we need a clean installation of Windows but we do not want to create and configure a machine virtual.
Windows Sandbox offers the solution for both cases, it works as an isolated environment in which you can run software that you do not trust without having any impact on your Windows installation. Everything you download or install in the sandbox stays in the sandbox and does not affect anything else.

It is basically a lightweight Windows disposable within your Windows 10 to test potentially dangerous things without fear. Each time you run the sandbox you will have a light installation of about 100 MB of a completely clean Windows 10, all this thanks to Microsoft using its own Hyper-V to create a separate kernel of the host computer without you having to bother to create a virtual machine.
This feature will be available first to Insiders in Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise build 18305. You need to have at least 4 GB of RAM and 1 GB of disk space available, preferably recommend 8 GB of RAM and use an SSD. And, at least one CPU with two cores, preferably four.
You will not need to download anything since Windows Sandbox will be included within the features of Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise, you do not have to download a virtual machine or anything. You just have to make sure that the virtualization options are activated in your BIOS.
The next thing is to go to the start menu and type "Windows features" to go to the menu of activating and deactivating system features, and you will have to check the box "Windows Sandbox".
Then, using the start menu, find Windows Sandbox and press "Enter" to execute with administrative privileges. To execute an .exe file in the sandbox you just have to paste it into the Windows Sandbox window from the host.
