Twitter allows to return to the chronological order of the 'timeline' to all users as of today

Until not too long ago, Twitter offered a timeline in which the tweets appeared in chronological order. Or what is the same: the last messages were the first we saw. From then on, we were moving from the most recent tweets to the oldest ones. The logical for a large number of users.



However, one day that changed and through an algorithm Twitter modified our chronology in order to highlight certain outstanding tweets.

Although there were tricks and options provided by the social network itself to avoid this altered experience, as of today Twitter allows you to return to the chronological order in a simpler way and from the timeline itself. It is an option that we were able to meet a few weeks ago when it was advanced by Jack Dorsey.

This new way to control the timeline of Twitter is based on a button that will appear in the iOS application today and in the Android, soon. Also in the Twitter Lite and web mobile.twitter.com soon.

Without it being necessary to go to the configuration on content and replacing the option Show the best Tweets first that was currently established for everyone, this new button will allow you to touch the screen to see the last tweets.

According to those in charge of the social network, in the tests carried out with this functionality they have been able to see that people participate more in the conversation and return more frequently to Twitter. This new change is an effort on the part of the platform to promote live events and information about what is happening in real time.

"Malicious Memes", how a new type of malware is taking advantage of hidden code in Twitter images

Trend Micro security researchers have identified a new threat that they have called "malicious memes."
