Epic gets some games cancel their Steam outing in favor of their store

Epic Games, the company behind the successful game 'Fortnite', launched a few days ago its own digital video game store, with which they seek to compete with Steam, GOG, and the rest of alternatives.

To attract developers to their platform, in the Epic Games Store they "only" get 12% of the revenues, while in Steam (their main competitor) they demand 30%.

First games that bet on the Epic Games Store

It seems that this tax rebate (and all the excitement that is generating the platform) is causing some developers to begin to seriously bet on the Epic Games Store.

According to a report by PC Gamer, some games have already disappeared from Steam, in order to focus its launch in the Epic Games store. This is the case of 'Satisfactory', a game created by Coffee Stain Studios and which disappeared from Steam without prior notice.

Its creators have confirmed that this game of construction in the first person will be exclusive to Epic Games Store, without making it clear if it will reach Steam in the near future. Many people have complained in the social networks of this movement.

On the other hand, Jace Varley (community manager of the study), published a video in which he affirms that "many people will give their opinion about it.
'Journey' will arrive at the Epic Games Store

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a game created by the Double Damage Games studio. Through an entry in the official blog of the company, they announced that they have opted for the Epic store, where they will be exclusively for one year.

As we can see, Epic Games is betting hard to bring developers to its platform and stand up to Steam's hegemony. A few days ago we knew that they will give away a game every two weeks and that soon 'Journey' will join, which for the first time will make its landing on PC.
