Firefox 64 is now available: better tab management and a recommendation system
A few hours ago Mozilla announced that version 64 of Firefox was coming, and now it's time to analyze what are the most important updates of this update.
Those who open too many tabs at the same time are in luck, since from this version we can select several at once (by pressing the control / command key and clicking on the desired tabs).
Once we have selected them we can move them, reload them, silence them, close them or fix them. It's really useful, and in the following video you can check how it works:
If in the navigation bar we write "about: performance" we will see that this section has changed a lot, becoming a task manager that shows us what is being executed and what is its energetic impact.

Another important novelty of Firefox 64 are the "recommendations", a system with which the browser will recommend content (for example extensions) to improve our experience.
For example, Firefox might recommend us to use Google Translate at some point (if it detects that we use this tool very often or in certain situations).
At the moment this functionality is only available in the United States, and it will not work if we are in a window in incognito mode. Mozilla also wanted to clarify that this system of suggestions will not use the browsing history to optimize it.
Improvements also in the Android version
In order to make these recommendations Firefox will analyze the way in which we navigate, but ensure that the data is processed locally and will not be uploaded to your servers.
The Android version has also been improved, and now the Firefox scroll in this operating system is more fluid. If you want to update to the latest version of the browser you have several options:
Activate the OTA update from the browser
Update the Android version from the Google Play Store
Download the latest version from the Firefox website or from the Mozilla FTP
